New Script and Dragonflies Letterpress Stationery

These newly printed letterpress cards feature delicate and detailed dragonflies and your name printed in an elegant script font.  These cards are printed on thick white 100% cotton paper for such a delightful impression. I love the beauty of this vintage Liberty script type. Each personalized card that I print usually begins with hand setting the metal type one letter at a time and then setting it into the chase (metal frame) with wooden furniture. The images and metal type are printed separately so each card is actually printed twice on my antique printing press.

These dragonflies are blind debossed (inkless impression) onto thick white cotton cover weight paper for a lovely tactile appeal. I love the fine details of these dragonflies and complemented with your name, it makes for delightful stationery!  

Did you know that dragonflies only eat when they are flying? They catch their prey in the air by grasping it with their feet. They are also among the first winged creatures to evolve about 300 million years ago!  In Japan, the dragonfly is a symbol of happiness, courage and power.
