These letterpress printed cards feature lovely lace blind debossed ( inkless impression) on plush white 100% cotton paper. Names look so special with this beautiful script type. These newly printed letterpress cards feature delicate and detailed dragonflies and your name printed in an elegant script font. These cards are printed on thick white 100% cotton paper for such a delightful impression. I love the beauty of this vintage Liberty script type. Each personalized card that I print usually begins with hand setting the metal type one letter at a time and then setting it into the chase (metal frame) with wooden furniture. The images and metal type are printed separately so each card is actually printed twice on my antique printing press.

Newly printed and designed, these personalized letterpress stationery features delicate wildflowers that seem to sway in the breeze. The process begins with working on an illustration. Then I send the file in for processing into letterpress plates. Once I have the plate, I set up my printing press with its rollers and then hand mix the inks for the particular color. Place a bit of ink on the inking disc and by pressing the treadle, the rollers will spread the ink on the ink disc. Fit the plate into the chase with the wooden furniture ( it's sort of like working with a jigsaw puzzle at times), and then place the chase onto the press. Do some test prints and then print! The work is not over though! The personalized name is hand set and then that is printed. Each image and each hand set name is printed one at a time, so that means for a set of 20 cards, each card is printed twice. For multi-colored prints, that means cleaning the ink from the press and rollers and then re-inking the rollers and ink disc with the next color. Cleaning can take up a lot of time because the ink must be removed carefully so that the next color used will not be affected by ink residue from the previous printing.
Actually, it was not fun "playing" with those tax numbers, but I enjoyed creating this playful collection.

After the past couple of weeks of rainy weather, I'm ready for more sunshine, blue skies, and warmth!
Yes, it rains in paradise. Hot off the press, these new letterpress printed stationery made me think of sun, surf and a walk along the seashore.
Printed in a luscious orange mango hue, a trio of Sea Stars and two charming Seahorses are featured in these sets of letterpress stationery.
When swimming in Hawaiian waters, you will enjoy seeing a variety of beautiful fish, but Sea Stars and Seahorses are more elusive and perhaps that's what makes them even more precious and lovely.

With its gossamer wings, a trio of dragonflies are featured in these newly printed personalized letterpress cards. These dragonflies are blind debossed (inkless impression) onto thick white cotton cover weight paper for a lovely tactile appeal. I love the fine details of these dragonflies and complemented with your name, it makes for delightful stationery!
Did you know that dragonflies only eat when they are flying? They catch their prey in the air by grasping it with their feet. They are also among the first winged creatures to evolve about 300 million years ago! In Japan, the dragonfly is a symbol of happiness, courage and power.
With graceful tentacles waving, these personalized letterpress stationery feature a delightful octopus in cool aqua blue. Printed one card at a time, the old fashioned way, on my antique printing press on plush white 100% cotton cover weight paper.
In Hawaii, the he'e is a beloved creature with its amazing beauty and delectable taste. Ancient Hawaiians enjoyed eating he'e and the locals continue to relish it today as a pupu or appetizer.
